Liked hats enough to try making one. Felt hats need a specific toolset most people don't have lying around — found Berry Rutjes, a local legend with a course on exactly that, and joined. First one: light blue, burned for patina. Looks right, sits wrong — too shallow. Second: brown, furry felt, but the piece of material was too small. The top came out good, the rim came out tiny. Way tiny. Then the one that stuck: round top, round brim, big, comfortable. A real unit. Also FUNC'd up a Panama I already owned — new band, cut from a Missoni towel. That's the header shot.
